The Courage to Truly Be YOUrself

Updated: Apr 23

"No One Can Build You the Bridge on Which You, and Only YOU, must Cross the River of Life!" -Friedrich Nietzsche-

You are responsible for designing the life you desire. It is your subconscious choices that make change.
You are responsible for designing the life you desire. It is your subconscious choices that make change.

At this age, I often feel as though change is difficult, impossible, unattainable. There are so many spaces I want to improve. Including, relationships, career, finances, debt, health, wellness, awareness....to name a few. I didn't set out with a life plan. Maybe that was the first mistake. I wasn't given a true blueprint. At least not one that didn't consider someone else's agenda or benefit. Now that I am mapping a path that is defined by me, it really isn't difficult, but it is very cluttered. I am working to design me in this chapter.

In this chapter, on this journey, I take specific steps to align my subconscious with my desires for my life. I take the time to acknowledge the need to replace the negative thoughts that have existed in my thinking and my movement for six decades with positive thoughts and fill it with gratitude for its ability to change my thinking. The acknowledgement is likely the most complex layer. You have to recognize the negatives and the thought patterns that no longer serve your existence. This is the initial phase of your alignment.

Here's an example: The fear to try something new. Is your hesitation based on something you believed previously? Do you not want to go because it cost too much? Because its not something you are familiar with? This is the subconscious thought process protecting you based on a previous experience. YOU have to step out and take intentional action to change that subconscious thinking.

Here's another example (This one I am famous for): I found this subconscious thinking derived from my upbringing after my father passed away. My mother was so overly concerned about finances, that she was constantly badgering about overspending and not being able to afford to go anywhere or do anything. It was always a conversation of, "We can't afford that." My father had been sick for several years and was only working to about 30% of his previous capacity. It was my mother who was managing the finances, the workload, the housework and life as I knew it successfully. I don't think she realized she was commanding the ship all along. I developed the internal habit of "We can't afford that!" "That's too expensive."

I changed this structure in my subconscious by relaxing, meditating and becoming aware that the Universe has already aligned what you desire for yourself. Lack is not an option in your alignment. This is an ongoing subconscious learning. It can often creep in when finances are low, and I am insecure about where I am with my career and resources.

In the effort to change for the benefit of a more pleasing version of myself, it became me that needed to take action to change. It is truly an internal belief structure that has to be redesigned for me. I take daily action toward the new positive thought and beliefs to implement the existence of my desired change. Here are the things I do:

  1. Be the observer of my thoughts. My thoughts are not my reality. They are simply a designed portion of my subconscious, and I can change my thoughts to align with my desires.

  2. Recognize that my brain has the ability to rewire itself. In that, I stop working from old patterns and behaviors and design new ones as I see fit.

  3. Know that my brain and my heart are working together to align with my subconscious thoughts. In my mental wiring, I have the capacity to create cohesiveness for my personal success. I am learning to feel that connection by sitting in meditation.

  4. Know that suffering will happen. My conversation with my brain that changes how I use and adapt to that suffering and gain impact from it rather than allow it to impact me.

  5. Realize that empathy and compassion are not weaknesses. It is the absolute highest neurological function possible. I practice kindness and gratitude in everything I do every day.

You have the ability to change and create!!!
You have the ability to change and create!!!

Happiness, Alignment, Manifestation, and Abundance are things you must find within YOUrself in your mind!
